To attach a role to an EC2 instance in AWS, you can follow these steps:

1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console: Go to the AWS Management Console using your administrator credentials.

2. Navigate to EC2: From the services menu, select "EC2" under the "Compute" section.

3. Select the EC2 instance: Locate and select the EC2 instance to which you want to attach a role.

4. Access the instance details: In the EC2 instance details page, navigate to the "Actions" dropdown menu and select "Instance Settings", then click on "Attach/Replace IAM Role".

5. Choose an IAM role: In the IAM Role dropdown list, select the desired IAM role you want to attach to the EC2 instance. The dropdown will display a list of available IAM roles in your AWS account.

6. Review and confirm: Review the details of the role you selected and ensure it has the necessary permissions for the instance. Click on "Apply" to confirm the role attachment.

Verify the IAM role: Check if the IAM role listed in the "IAM role" field matches the expected role. If a role is attached, the field will show the name of the role. If no role is attached, the field will be empty.
